Caramel croissant

A warm, crispy croissant with a generous layer of sea salt caramel running down the sides. Just two ingredients and five minutes of effort.
Preparation 2 min, warming 5 min, total 7 min. Serves 2.
Why it works
A croissant is buttery, airy and slightly salty, so caramel is a natural match. Warming it briefly makes the layers crispy again while keeping the caramel beautifully fluid. Sea salt flakes on top add a crunchy, savoury finish.
What you need:
2 fresh or ready-to-bake croissants
3–4 tbsp Suboro Sea Salt
A pinch of coarse sea salt flakes
Optional: a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of crème fraîche
Our tip: use a croissant from the bakery that’s a day old. It becomes extra crispy in the oven.
